B, I've always said an item is worth what its purchaser will pay for it. If you don't want to dish out the 100k then go find your own for free, or keep looking for that low ball seller. If you don't care about vanity skins then you can just pick up a max blue (collector) and use it. Works just fine you can even remod them.

+ectos is good because its the highest value trader item, so u can fit more in at once per plat. People are already kinda pissed with the only 100k at a time rule anyway.

I do not think their true intention was to limit you from trading more than 100K of gold. I just think they are not expecting for people to WANT to pay more than 100K.
Without a money cap, GW will turn into a nasty gold grind-fest (worst than what it is today). Like maple story for example, items there are going for 2-3 Million.

Is Guild Wars a gold grind? Only if you want it to be. I'm living proof you don't need to spend Gold to enjoy the game, especially with easy access to nice Collectors items in Factions, and Greens for finishing the campaign.
Now, there are rare Golds with better stats then I can craft myself, correct?
That's my only issue with Golds. If I'm wrong about that, then I have no issue with Golds at all.
Even if there are Golds with slightly better stats than Crafter's, meh, that's probably a nice reward for the Farmers.
I do wish Greens were a little better, although I'm not sure if that's a popular viewpoint. Ghail's Bone Staff is a perfect example: Why spend 40k (or whatever), when you just need to collect the base staff and give it +5 En and +1 Death? Shouldn't greens offer a little more than just collector's with max mods?

They're good to show off, BUT unless one drops for you it's much easier to make your weapon rather than buyin somethin that's 100k+ because you like the look and the mods of it. As Hatamoto said, collectors DO > all, period.

Why? The only 100K+ ones are the rare skins.

Going with B
I like the way the economy works. Everyone has the option of the affordable 1.5k armor and collectors items with the exact same stats as the more expensive 100k+ items. As I've established my charcters I no longer have a need for hording gold for armor and mods for my collector items. These expensive items give me something to spend my gold on to allow me to further customize my character, even if it is just changing the appearance.

I won't buy them, but I'll sure as heck sell them :P
Heck, I still have an old GOLD 13^50 Storm Bow, yep, gold . Considering that they don't drop anymore, I'm sure it'll be worth a lot down the line as an antique. Oh wait, no one in GW cares about whether an item exists anymore, only the stats :P
So yeah, I have no need to buy the items but if other people do, well that's just more money for me if I find one ^^.

A - Dislike:
Nothing should cost more then 100K, anything more is just greed on the part of the community.
Rare items with rare perfect mods, original= 100K
How easy is it to get maybe a crystaline sword (Gold) with 15%<50 with one other mod, and 10 req. from a chest in the area they are found, but say the mods is 20/15 sundering. The only thing worth money here is the weapon skin, but at the most 100K nothing more, due to being rare, so they say.
But players will change the original mods, and add extras, then go and say it's worth 100K+50 to 100 ectos dependong on the player, and that is an extreme case, most of the skins are not rare, and I see players selling them for 100K+ectos
Like a gothic axe with a good bonus, 15%<50, it's blue, then they add mods and set the price at 100K+ectos simply saying it has perfect stats
The truth is that these so called rare weapons are just found in certain areas, and the sale of them is controlled, like diamonds are today.
I keep my prices fair, and if I did find a rare item, that I did not want, I would sell it at 80 to 100K and no more, this overpricing just encourages players to go to e-bay and buy money, 100K + 50 ectos = 450K+, that's total greed I tell you.

Armour is nice to spend money on, as people will actually see what armour you're wearing.
But spending ludicrous amounts of cash on items that other players are never going to pay attention to once the fighting starts strikes me as utterly pointless.
How many times have you commented on that wammo's axe after he's finished pounding on you with it?
Never, right?
There's a few items that have unique stats that aren't duplicated by collector's items (such as The Dream Haunter / Wayward Wand), and those are worth paying for, but paying over 100K for a sword with poorer stats than I can make myself at the crafter or get from the collectors?
Madness.
So C I guess.

Showing off a rare item is showing off how much free time you have and how petty your life is. =\

C. Don't care either. If people want to be dumb with their gold, who am i to stop them?
The whole concept of 100k+ items pretty much comes from the greedy thinking, "hey, can i actually sell this item for the max gold cap value?", and then finding out that that they can, that people would actually be desperate and idiotic enough to pay those amounts of cash, which drives them even further in their greed to add ectos and whatever else to the max gold cap value, because why? People are idiots and the greedy loves idiots. If you have ever paid 100k+ for just skins and looks, you belong in the idiot category. My opinion is that an item would only be worth 100k+ if it had stats you can't get elsewhere, and is potentially game breaking, else if its just looks, you can always get it some other time when the prices of the greedy have died down due to no idiots buying at 100k+ values. In other games, if you pay a high price for an item, you are typically doing it for the stats as well as the looks, but in a game like GW, with static weapons, paying those amounts of gold for just looks is laughable and plain stupid.

But only in Guild Wars. When you buy such high prices in GW, you buy the rarity, not the usefulness.
But if these weapons were more powerful than "cheap" regular items, then I would vote A.
